The Organizing Committee of the 2015 Caribbean Series, to be played in Hiram Bithorn stadium in San Juan, announced the schedule for the series with a big surprise.

This year there will be five countries playing in the 2015 series. The countries participating are Puerto Rico, República Dominicana, Venezuela, México and Cuba.

The winning team of the Dominican Professional Winter Baseball League will travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico to play the Caribbean Series. Gigantes del Cibao won the honor of representing Dominican Republic in the Series, their first time ever. They lost to México 3 to 2.
Did you know – República Dominicana has the most wins in the series than any other country participating in the games. We have had 19 wins since the start of the series in 1949 with the first game played in Cuba.
