Covid-19 Curfew State of Emergency 1-2021

Here we go again. The entire Christmas holidays we have been under a Curfew or Toque de Queda as they call it here in Dominican Republic thanks to Covid-19 and Coronavirus.

The curfew was extended and tightened because humans did not follow the rules. Bad, bad humans we are.

The new Toque de Queda / Curfew in Dominican Republic and State of Emergency is the same as the old except they are giving an extra hour to transit. It goes from January 11 to January 26.
*Saturday & Sunday 12 noon to 5 AM. There is a 3 hour transit time after curfew to give time to get home.
*Weekdays 5 PM to 5 AM. There is a 3 hour transit time after curfew to give time to get home.

*Public spaces can be used, but only for sports practices. *Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in public spaces.
*Home delivery of cooked food, grocery stores and pharmacies are allowed until 11:00 at night.
*Restaurants can receive customers, but must not exceed 50% of their installed capacity and cannot have more than six people per table. Restaurants must comply with distancing measures.
*Churches or religious denominations are allowed to hold services three times a week, within the curfew hours and must respect sanitary measures.
*Mandatory use of masks in all places of public use, as well as physical distancing, must be maintained.
