The Santo Domingo Colonial Fest 2014 is coming! November 21, 22 and 23, 2014 is the 3rd Festival being held in the Colonial City.

Santo Domingo Colonial Fest November 2014

The festival is 3 fun filled days of music, art, culture and more all in the Colonial Zone. There will be Historical Walks and characters in Colonial garb, Music, Art, Food, Special activities and night hours in the Museums, Strolling entertainment including Clowns and mimes. There will be the Festival of the Bells with all the churches of the Colonial City ringing their bells simultaneously. The businesses of the city will have many special prices. Each night of the Festival there will be a great closing concert in Plaza España.

The entire Ciudad Colonial will be participating in one form or another each day from 10AM to 1AM. Most of the activities will be focused around Calle Las Damas, Plaza España and Fortaleza Ozama. The Plaza del Reloj, where Calle Padre Billi and Las Damas meet, Plaza María de Toledo, Museo de las Casa Reales, Plaza España, Fuerte San José, Parque Colón, Fortaleza Ozama and Plaza Pellerano Castro (Parque Rosado).

*The Museo Memorial de la Resistencia Dominicana, Calle Arz. Nouel, will be open from 9:30AM to 9Pm throughout the Festival. They will be playing movies daily Friday, November 21 “Ciudad de Dios” / “City of God” at 6:30PM. Saturday, November 22 “Buscando a Nemo” / “Finding Nemo” (Children and Adults) at 4PM. Saturday, November 22 “La ladrona de libros” / “The Book Thief” at 6:30PM. Sunday, November 23 “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” at 6:30PM
