Xiomara Fortuna y SinHora Band will be playing on the out door stage at the Plazoleta Fray Bartolome de las Casas, Zona Colonial, Santo Domingo on Sunday July 29, 2012 starting at 5:30PM.
The loved Dominican singer known as The Queen of Fusion/ La “Reina de la Fusión” will be with her band to celebrate the life of Fray Bartolomé de las Casas. Las Casas, whos statue is centrally located in the park, was one of the original persons to fight for human rights. He was known as the Father of anti-imperialism and anti-racism. The Feria Artesanal runs every weekend in the park in Colonial Zone displaying Dominican art work for sale. They have a cafe and food in the evenings along with live music. It is a great place to sit and enjoy while hanging with the locals.
