Winter Wonderland DR 2012
The Winter Wonderland theme park has arrived and will give the DR a blanca Navidad/ White Christmas during this holiday season. There will be music, dancing, comedy and animated characters, among other surprises, for the enjoyment of the entire family. Adults and children will have the opportunity to share and learn about the the weather that is close to the North Pole. They will feel the cold and think they are in the the country with real snow. Make sure to dress warm as real snow is cold!
There will be 3 daily sessions in the morning, afternoon and night. There will be a sledding riding track, snow play area for the little ones, a Christmas market, a place to build Snowmen, a Ballet performance of the Nutcracker Suit, A Children’s Choir and many more activities.
Bring your camera to take pictures with Christmas characters. Again, make sure to dress warm.
This grand event will be held at the Pabellón de Volleyball del Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte/ Volleyball Pavillion of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center Pavilion in Santo Domingo from December 19th to the 26th, 2012. You can get tickets in advance at Uepa Tickets, Moviemax, Supermercados Nacional and Jumbo. Prices are RD$800 for children and RD$1,200 for adults.
This event has made the rounds throughout the world where snow does not fall. For 15 years they have have taken the Winter Wonderland to places such as Amsterdam, London, Ireland, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Mexico and more. Now they can ad Dominican Republic to the list.
