The 23rd International Virtual Book and Culture Fair 2020 will run from Thursday, May 28 ending on Sunday, June 7.
The 23rd International Virtual Book and Culture Fair 2020 Dominican Republic – 23a Feria Internacional Virtual del Libro y la Cultura Santo Domingo 2020
The Ministerio de Cultura (MINC) and the Dirección General de la Feria del Libro will celebrate “La Feria desde casa”, an online version of the International Book and Culture Fair, organized to encourage public participation in general with this great cultural event, through the various digital platforms of the MINC.
The 10-day conference will feature the participation of national and international writers in workshops, gatherings, poetic recitals, talks, panels and conversations aimed at fostering an interest in literature among the public.
The Fair from Home will begin on Thursday, May 28 and will end on Sunday, June 7 and will take place basically on the Zoom platform, at various times. The calls will be disseminating through the MINC social networks. Similarly, they will be broadcasting on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook Live.

The Program
Thursday, May 28, at 5PM, the gathering on Literature and startups will take place: “Una Mirada al Futuro”. It will have the participation of the writers Sarah Puello, Armando Manzueta, Fabiola Herrera, Elías Serulle and Fari Rosario. The moderator in charge is María Virginia Elmúdesi.
7PM, the Dominican intellectual Basilio Belliard will participate with: “Qué leer después de cuarentena.”

Sunday, June 7, the conclusion with two events: one at 5PM, with the reflections of the theaterman Radhamés Polanco on the perspectives of theatrical art at the juncture of Covid-19. The other at 7PM, called: “Poesía amorosa, antídoto contra la pandemia.” with Máxima Hernández.
