Today is the Festival de Arcángel San Miguel/ St. Michael, the Archangel.
San Miguel is the patron saint of the Dominican armed forces. He is the Captain of the Celestial Legions. Combating the devil he leads the forces of heaven in their triumph over the powers of hell.
