“Duarte: Fundador de una República” a play about one of the Founding Fathers of the Dominican Republic. This historical play directed especially for the youth of the country to learn their history. This obra recounts how the group La Trinitaria put together the plan that led to the Republics independence from Haiti. It recounts the struggles against Haitian domination, the proclamation of the Dominican Republic and confrontations between Duarte and Ramon Santana. The play gives insight into Duartes (played by Harold Gil) inspirational thinking.
