Pictures of the outside of the First Cathedral in the Americas. It is known by many names including – Cathedral de Santa Maria, Cathedral de Santo Domingo, Primada de América. The full name of this marvelous cathedral is the Cathedral Metropolitana Santa María de la Encarnación, one of the many “firsts” in the Americas. It is one of the many incredible sights you will see when you visit the Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo.
