Of course we have an Ocotber Fest, the real German way to say it is Oktoberfest, in Santo Domingo.
The Centro Dominico-Aleman will be having their annual celebration on Saturday October 15, 2011 at their German cultural center. There will be many of the traditional German foods and beers for tasting and indulging.
If you have a “Lederhosen” or “Dirndl” (typical Bavarian clothing) make sure to wear it and you will get a couple free Weizen de Paulaner beers to wet your whistle.

Oh, by the way. On the first Saturday of every month they have a German market at the German Center. You can taste your favorite German foods, see handcrafted items and enjoy some nice conversation. It is at their center on Isabel la Catolica.
