Hot! Hot! Hot! It is time again for the Noche Larga de Museos Verano 2019 / The Long Night of Museums Summer Version 2019. This year we will be celebrating the 507 anniversary of the founding of The Colonial City of Santo Domingo on August 3, 2019.
The Ministerio de Cultura is bringing a fun and educational day to everyone. August 3, 2019 from 9 in the morning until 12 midnight visits to the local museums of the Colonial City are free for an entire day! The Long Night of Museums Summer 2019 will have music, theater, cinema, exhibitions, puppets, creativity workshops, recitals, storytelling, artistic presentations and exhibitions.
The museums participating in Noche Larga de Museos Verano 2019 include:
Alcázar de Colón, Casas Reales, Fortaleza Ozama, Children’s Museo Trampolín, Museo de Cera (Wax Museum) Juan Pablo Duarte, Casa de Teatro and Museo Kah Kow (Chocolate Museum). Plus Centro Cultural Banreservas, Centro Cultura de España, Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (INDOTEL) and La Casa Del Ron Sugar Cane, Museo Monumento Montecino and more.
There will be 2 concerts in the Plaza España.

*11PM closing concert – Singer and Composer Manny Cruz. Manny Cruz, born in Santo Domingo, has been nominated for Latin Grammy Award for Best Tropical Song, Latin Grammy Award for Best Tropical Fusion Album.
