Noche Larga de los Museos Versión Primavera, Sábado 02 de abril 2016 / Long Night of Museums Spring Version, Saturday April 2, 2016.
It’s time again for the popular event to happen here in the Colonial City. 4 times a year the Ministerio de Cultura opens the museums up for all to see and its free! From 9AM to Midnight are activities all throughout the Zona Colonial. There is music, dancing, lectures, educational programs, poetry, children’s activities, living statues, lights and art. A plethora of culture and activities all in one day..and its FREE!
There will be special presentations by the Ballet Folklórico Dominicano, el Coro de cámara del Ministerio de Cultura / Chamber Choir of the Ministry of Culture, Koribe; danza contemporánea / contemporary dance, and DJ music.

Merengue singer Geovanny Polanco will be closing the event in Santiago and here in the Ciudad Colonial the closing event is in Plaza España with a presentation by the Ballet Nacional Dominicano.
The museums will be open throughout the day but the big kick-off starts at 6:30 pm at the Museo de las Casas Reales headed by the Ministro de Cultura.
