Every season the Ministerio de Cultura gives us 1 day of free museum visits, some fun cultural entertainment and learning experiences in the Colonial Zone.

The winter Long Night of Museums theme is ¨Tiempo de Amor y Paz; Navidad en el Alcázar de Colón¨ / Time of Love and Peace; Christmas in the Alcázar de Colón. This will be a time to learn and enjoy all the beauty and curiosities of the Dominican Christmas.

Come, learn and celebrate ¨La Navidad Dominicana¨ in the Zona Colonial on Saturday December 13, 2014 from 9AM to 12 midnight.

Some of the fun things going on this year.
*La XIII Feria Nacional de Artesanías Dominicanas / The 13th National Dominican Handicraft Fair in Fortaleza Ozama. More information…
*Grupo Bonyé and the orquesta de Dionis Fernández will close the night with music at the Plazoleta of the Alcázar.
*Singer Yudie Marie Osorio
*There will be a play by Eva Camilo
*The choir from Instituto Cultural Domínico Americano.
*A concert with bossa and pop with Pachy Carrasco
*A Christmas concert by Sandy Gabriel
*Dancer Patricia Ascuasiati.
*Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Altagracia start in Higuey.
*Museum El Faro a Colon exhibition TrazosEfímeros 4PM.
*Grand finale at Fortaleza Ozama with dances and traditional holiday music – 10PM
*Christmas atmosphere in the areas of the Museum of Casas Reales and from 9Pm to midnight a light show.
*Trampoline Children’s Museum will have guided tours at 5PM
*Visit with Santa Claus and the Magi at Trampoline Children’s Museum starting at 8PM
