Festival del Merengue y Ritmos Caribeños 2014 / Merengue Festival and Caribbean Rhythms 2014 will be happening this year on Friday August 1st and Saturday August 2, 2014 starting at 6PM each evening. There will be dancing and music at the Plaza Juan Baron located on the Malecon in Santo Domingo.

Sponsored by Brugal and the Ministerio de Turismo, this festival has been a tradition for many years. They share the music with thousands of Dominicans and tourists as a way to help the music of Dominican Republic with all.
Friday, 1 August – Miriam Cruz, Chiquito Team Band, Krisspy and Chimbala.
Saturday, 2 August – Los Hermanos Rosario, Yiyo Sarante, Kinito Mendez and Mozart La Para
Each nights festivities will end with a large fireworks display.
