Fernando Echavarría y La Familia André celebrates Mother’s Day with their concert “Las madres se pasan en familia”, on Saturday May 25, 2013. They will be at Lucia 203 on Calle Hostos in the Zona Colonial.

Fernando Echavarria is one of the most respected songwriters Dominicans in the country. He created his own type and styles of music known as “fuson”. Echavarria fuses rhythms, melodies and Afro-Antillean themes. A little Samba, Cumbia and Plena with a little Jazz and Rock thrown in for good measure. Then he adds a little rhythm of Son and Merengue to create his own personal and much loved musical style.
