Festival del Cacao October 2 thru 5, 2014
This is the second Cacao Festival organized by Producciones Mayo PG. It will take place in Parque Duarte, San Francisco de Macorís, the capital of chocolate production in Dominican Republic.
There will be many events and activities for the entire family all centering around chocolate production in Dominican Republic. *Places where visitors can live the experience of processing to chocolate to sweet cocoa.
*All types of chocolate products will be for sale including cocoa, chocolates, wine, ice cream, desserts and more.
*There is a special section just for children.
*There will be a wide range of lectures and conferences held by experts for students and adults to learn.
*An exhibition of crafts made from recycled and natural materials.
*There will be music and cultural performances every night during the festival
and my favorite – *There is a Dessert Contest for all items made with chocolate open to the public.
